The Community Advisory Group

The Community Advisory Group was established to ensure that local voices sit at the heart of the project. Made up of residents and community representatives from Trevor, Froncysyllte, Cefn Mawr, and Chirk, the group brought lived experience, local knowledge, and insight into the heritage, culture, and challenges of each place. Their involvement was voluntary, demonstrating a strong commitment to shaping how their communities are represented and how heritage is shared.

Volunteering was central to the success of the project. Advisory Group members gave their time, knowledge, and energy to help identify priorities, shape themes, support events, and guide creative approaches. Their contribution ensured the work remained grounded in community values and played a vital role in building trust, capacity, and long-term ownership as the project moves towards the development of a wider placemaking plan.
