Pridie Tiernan

Wales-based storyteller and ethnobotanist Pridie Tiernan will be inviting people, families and children to explore the beautiful Bryn Seion field in the heart of Trevor Basin which sits between the canal, Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and the River Dee.

On Saturday 27th September Pridie will be bringing along her homemade apothecary and a heart full of stories to our event Navigating Through Time. She’ll be walking and talking her way around the meadow and hedgerow sharing folklore, stories and practical bushcraft uses of our native plants and trees, steering us back towards the practice of our ancestors and gently reminding us how much fun it is to once again be ‘reading the green’!

Pridie would love people to come along and share their stories about local native plantlore - the landscape’s heritage, past and present to collectively begin to build a community cabinet within the Navigating Through Time education programme, and World Heritage Site archive for the future.
