Cathy Wade, Pavilion

This temporary architectural pavilion was designed in 2023 by artist Cathy Wade as part of her work with Raynham Primary School as a space to hold children’s aspirations for their future community, in Upper Edmonton in North London. The artist is bringing the pavilion to the World Heritage Site as an iteration to build on its origins and purpose, to stage the voices and activisms of children across 6 World Heritage Site primary schools. They have been developing artworks in the lead up to this event through the exploration of wide-ranging fields of work spanning heritage and landscape with locally based artists, practitioners and historians.
